Signing a Business Associate Agreement

For vendors: how to e-sign a BAA from the link an organization sent you. No account needed.

An organization you work with uses the One Guy Consulting portal to manage its HIPAA program, and it has sent you a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) to sign electronically. The agreement is between you and that organization. You don't need an account or a login.

Sign the agreement

  1. Open the link

Click the signing link in the email (or the link the organization sent you directly). The page opens Business Associate Agreement: Electronic Signature, already signed by the organization's representative.

  2. Read the agreement

Read the full text. Questions about its terms? Contact the organization that sent it.

  3. Fill in your details

In Sign Agreement, enter Full Name, Title / Role, Company (pre-filled), and Email Address.

  4. Sign

Under Draw Your Signature, draw your signature (or type it and save it).

  5. Agree and submit

Tick I have read and agree to the terms of this Business Associate Agreement... and click Sign Agreement.

  6. Keep a copy

You'll see Agreement Signed. Click Download Executed BAA to save your copy.

That's it. The organization is notified automatically, and the fully executed agreement is saved on their side.

Troubleshooting

The page says Link Expired or This link has already been used

Signing links work once and are good for 30 days. Ask the organization to send a new one.

I need the fully executed PDF

Ask the organization. They can download it from their portal and send it to you.

I was also sent a security questionnaire

Some organizations also send a short vendor risk questionnaire: 20 questions in 5 categories, one category per step. Answer each step, click Next, and click Submit Assessment at the end. If the questionnaire link asks you to sign in, let the organization know; they'll get it sorted with us.
